Obnoxious
I have been slacking in my updates for the last week, but I do still want to update at least twice a week. I was just preoccupied with school and new computers at work to update last week. I’m sure that there are several topics in the news that I would like to bitch about, but I just got out of my religions class today and I have got some major issues with it now. This post has absolutely nothing to do with religion, just some of the people in my class. I have this girl that sits right next to me in class that drives me absolutely nucking futs, every damn day. So tell me if this is just because I’m somewhat obsessive or if it is normal. I can never concentrate in class because this obnoxious bitch is always moving her god damn feet. It never stops, just constant shaking, kicking, and bouncing. I don't know if it is a medical problem or if she is just a coffee junkie. She wears these tennis shoes that squeak with every little movement of her feet. So I have to sit there in class and listen to what sounds like a midget covered in latex jacking off every morning. Is it just me or would you be annoyed? Now the business of her shaking like a fat child in a candy shop is not what makes her a bitch, it just covers the obnoxious part. I will get to the bitch part in a moment, there is still more obnoxious to cover.... Every time the teacher says something from the bible, this girl throws her hands in the air and says amen. I find this to be more amusing than obnoxious, but still this is a classroom not a church. Today in class a student brought up homosexuality and the bible. This is where the bitch part comes in; because now she is just acting like she is so mortified throwing her arms around and making all these huffing noises like Satan himself just fucked her in the ass with no lube. There are students getting up and walking out of class, with one yelling "this makes me sick". Grow the fuck up people. What goes through these peoples minds? They want to pretend to be religious yet they have such hatred in them... these people that made a big deal about a question on homosexuals, are the kinds of people that go to gay bars to hack people up, as in the recent case up north. We all now how homophobic Jr is, but do you think that he would storm out of a class just because some one asked a simple question? I don't think so, at least I would hope not, since jr is rational as far as I know. So what makes these people act like this?
I don't know what makes them act like that...but I've heard a whole bunch of horror stories about people getting killed for being gay. I mean, be homophobic all you want...but that doesn't give you the right to kill anyone.
And I realize that Jr will disagree with me, but within our lifetime, I can almost guarantee that homosexuals will be allowed to marry. If you'll remember it wasn't too long ago that black people had no rights. Our constitution states that all men are created equal...it'll happen...mark my word.
And you know what...if you're gonna follow the bible on issues like that, then you aren't allowed to eat red meat, either, because that's also against the rules.

well of course jr would disagree with you, but he would be wrong. Interacial marriages were forbidden "according to the bible" until what, twenty five years ago... we have openly gay bishops and pastors now. We can convince him though, just like we did with the death penalty.

I avoid the religion subject as much as I can because people get all pissy if you believe differently from them. For example, I think most street bums are street bums because they are too lazy to help themselves, I know of several ways they can get themselves off the street, but they don't want to stop drinking on a daily basis, so they aren't allowed into the shelters. So, they are bums 'cause they are lazy MOST OF THE TIME. BUT, even though I disagree with their lifestyle and beliefs (I heard a bum say he can't get help the way he needs it from those shelters because all he wants is to drink, don't need no fuckin food) doesn't mean that I will beat them up or leave a room where they are preaching their alcoholism. I just simply wont help them, and I'll tell them why. Then they usually walk away from me OR they yell at me for "judging" them.
Anyway, I think that is similar to what these politicians believe, and so they don't want to help "the gays". But the older crowd of bible thumping americans who condemn people because of their beliefs, will soon be too dead to vote, and that's when the politicians will start seeking voter support from "the gays" and let them all get hitched together if they want.
I agree with Cole about how these "christians" will act like total assholes and do shitty things to people just because that person doesn't agree with them or what their pastor tells them to believe.

I doesn't bother me if you quote the bible or anything else niki, everyone is turning this into a religious thing, which I do not think it is. I know athiest that are very homophobic. But as for the bible, it depends on your view of the bible and how you choose to translate it, that is why there are so many different sects of christianity, including gay churches. I just think this is a general hate thing, not just from religion. It does not even have to be about gay people. If I strongly disagree with someone on any topic, im not going to storm out of a room or act like they are the most horrible person to who ever walked the earth. If it does not cause any physical harm to anyone, Why would I care what another person thinks?

I agree with Cole. It isn't about religion, it seems to be more about tolerance. Why can't people accept others the way they are and just get on with their own lives. Those who don't seem to want to accept others is in for a rude awakening one of these days. I think the annoying biach next to you in class needs to grow up. This is a classroom in a school not a classroom in a church. Save the amens and indignatious (sp?) (I think I'm better than you are) grunting and other crap outside the classroom door. Tell her to take it with her when she goes to church and to also ask her religious leader about tolerance and acceptance and where it isn't our place to judge.

The whole idea of having a problem with someone because he or she is gay has never made much sense to me.
I know a female minister who is gay. I've known her since she was in college; she's about 30 now and just realized she was gay a couple years ago. I'm not sure how many people know.
Anyway, I encourage you to pursue French and the Peace Corps. French is a lovely language when spoken by natives, it just becomes hideous when I spit my way through it. I dislike the actual class more than the subject, because the fact that there are only 3 people in it requires a lot more work on our part. However, as far as foreign language goes, French is definitely an easier one (I shudder at the thought of attempting a Slavic or Asian language). So go for it. Good luck in the Peace Corps. I wish I had the guts to do that...who knows, maybe after I graduate.

Speaking of religion, I have a funny site for you to check out. Apparently, this asswipe has gone around to anyone on a gay or lesbian or anti-religious webring and posted shiot like "he loves you" and "god bless you". He posted on my xanga blog and I went to his site and there's like 86 friggin comments on his site and they're pretty entertaining to read.
